Summer is coming to an end, and soon the weekends will be filled with Friday Night lights and the roar of Death Valley on a Louisiana Saturday Night. Much like those eternally hopeful and energetic fans that gather on campus (and cook strange things), we here at ISC2 CGCC are looking forward to a productive fall season. In September, we have Mike Lefebvre, Director of Cybersecurity at SEI Sphere, coming to talk to the chapter about Secure Access Service Edge. Mike brings 14 years in the industry and a deep background in MSSP operations, academia, and innovation. In October, we’re looking to have an in-person Chapter meeting, so look out for details as we get closer.

Additionally, we are actively seeking volunteers to help support our chapter events, so if you're interested in contributing, don’t hesitate to reach out. It's a great way to get involved, share your expertise, and help strengthen our chapter’s initiatives. ISC2 continues to drive impactful cybersecurity initiatives, promoting professional development, collaboration, and advocacy. By staying engaged and participating in these efforts, we not only protect our community but also contribute to shaping the future of cybersecurity. On another note, our very own Vice President, Benjamin Bourcy, was recently featured on the podcast 'The Sensuous Sounds of InfoSec,' hosted by Ben Malisow, Matthew Snoddy, and Raphael Fiedler. Benjamin discussed his fascinating career as an Air Force Missile Combat Crewmember and how it led him to cybersecurity.
